Our bespoke private guided trips are the best way for us to work with you or your group to tailor a custom adventure or training day to suit your specific needs.
Perhaps you have a private guided bush walk in mind or want to explore a canyon that is not one of our regular guided tours. Or perhaps you have young kids and want to have an adventure day tailored to your family.
These trips give you much more than our standard offerings with extra inclusions and our direct attention working towards your specific goals.
Private guided adventure tours are perfect for luxury escapes, family adventures, anniversaries, birthdays and bucks/hens parties, when having an exclusive tour guide for your group is important.
Private guided training is ideal for corporate groups or recreational groups wanting custom training in outdoor skills.

EXPECTATIONS: Adventure activities are demanding. At times you may experience periods of fatigue, fear, uncertainty or discomfort. We will work with you to ensure we set up the right activity for you or your group.

Some of our past trips have included leading expeditions in the Wollemi, multiple canyons in a day, guiding ecological surveys, hens/bucks trips, private training for recreational leaders, industry professionals and family groups. We can provide specialist training in canyoning, canyon rescue, SRT (Single Rope Techniques), rock climbing and rock climber self and partner rescue, abseiling, navigation, including GPS training and celestial navigation, bushcraft and survival training. Our guides are handpicked to give you the best experience possible, teaching modern techniques with the latest equipment.

I first wanted to book a standard Abseiling introduction course. During our first contact, Tristan asked a few questions about our previous experience and then recommended that we do something more advanced. He was SO RIGHT!
Together with Brian, he picked the perfect Abseiling course, taught us the technique and got all 5 of us down safely while having tons of fun. In total, 200 m of vertical thrill.
The entire day was planned in detail - they even provided snacks, water and sun cream.
Tristan's wife had prepared the most amazing sandwiches, which were ready for us the moment we came back up to our cars. The night before, we were able to pick our favorite combination - anything from homemade beefsteak to cured salmon. A veritable feast!
We even got photos from our adventure in the mail the next day.

I contacted Roam Adventures and Training for something more challenging than what is offered at all of the other places. I was not let down. I wanted to push limits and traverse Claustral Canyon, and we even fit in a little side quest to find some glow worms. If you like canyoning and are physically capable, Claustral is your once in a lifetime trip, if you have no experience, they can bring you to Empress Canyon!. My pictures came out great, but do not come close to capturing this experience. If I ever get back to this side of the world, I wouldn't even think of hiring another guide service!!”

“Premium Experience All Round
My husband and I traversed Serendipity Canyon in Mount Wilson, an intermediate grade canyon selected by our beautiful guide Aimee, due to our previous canyoning experience and our love of nature. (I do like to soak in my surroundings and stop to say 'hello' to all the creatures). ROAM personalised our adventure to our small group, provided premium quality gear and an absolutely delicious lunch. Aimee is the best guide we have ever experienced canyoning; she is professional, extremely knowledgable about canyoning (she lives and breathes it) and safety is paramount. It was a hot day for the mountains and Aimee made sure we were hydrated and well looked after.
The scenery was lush and brimming with life. We saw many crayfish, colourful butterflies, water dragons and black cockatoos. The 'wow' moment came at the end when we emerged from the canyon into the clear sandy bottomed Wollangambe River. We could have spent all day there.
