OVERNIGHT HIKING 101

The essential hiking expedition that will teach you the fundamental skills to plan, pack and complete your own overnight, ultralight hikes.

Coming Spring 2023.

Roam is proud to present a new style of hiking, moving lighter, further and in greater comfortable than you thought possible. It’s time Australia catches on to the ultralight style.

The old image of overstuffed packs, with pots and pans clanking of the side of a giant backpack is no more. Ultralight hiking is the key to unlocking a greater enjoyment of the outdoors. No aching back, brutalized knees or hot blistered feet. We will show you to go ultralight, in safety, which will take the pressure off you (literally) so you can enjoy nature without needless painful distractions.

We will complete the Mt Solitary Loop, a classic overnight hike in the Blue Mountains. You will be provided with comprehensive pre course materials such as check lists, instructional videos, buying advice, access to your guides for questions and advice.

By the end of this course, you will understand all aspects of how to plan, pack and complete a multiday ultralight hike on a well-defined track, without complex navigation.
