Kiandra to Kosciuszko Ultralight

Coming Summer 2024. Roam is proud to present the first course of its kind in Australia. A 7-day ultra-light guided walk through the iconic Australian Alps Walking Track. No more heavy packs. Enjoy the spectacular Australian Alps, moving lighter, further and in greater comfortable than you thought possible.

We will complete the iconic Kiandra to Kosciuszko, It is one the most beautiful walks in Australia.

We have gone one step further and, with the exception of a clothing and a hiking pack*, provide all the technical equipment you need to complete the hike. From tarp tents, down quilts, cutlery, navigation aids.

GRADE: Intermediate
FITNESS: Moderate - up to 20km per day, gentle rolling elevation
DURATION: 7 days, 7 nights
GUIDE CLIENT RATIO: 1:4, 2:8
MEETING LOCATION: Three Mile Dam

EXPECTATIONS: Expeditions are challenging. At times you may experience periods of fatigue, fear, uncertainty or discomfort. There are no home style amenities.

HIKE DAYS 1-7

• Kiandra to Dead Horse Gap planned route

• Route can be subject to modification

• Transporation back to car end of final day

• Skills include walking with hiking poles, navigation, camp selection,
  water treatment, sun/bug management, meal planning, preparation
  and cooking systems, clothing systems, sleeping comfortably and much, much more

INCLUSIONS:

• All meals and snacks and cooking systems

• All ultralight hiking systems (excluding backpack, clothing)

• Ultra light hiking tents

• Light weight down quilts

• Insulated sleeping mats

• We do not provide alcohol, footwear, personal clothing or toiletries

• *Due to the variety of body shapes, torso sizes etc. we cannot provide hiking packs, rain gear or other personal clothing items. We will be happy to provide guidence for purchasing any madatory items
